Troubleshooting Tips – Try These Tips at Home
Please make sure to take the battery out of the charger before plugging into the wall, then insert the battery into the charger once the charger is plugged into an outlet. You should see a green light when the charger is plugged into the outlet without a battery inserted, insert the battery and the charger should show a red indicator. This means the battery is charging. If you don’t see a red indicator, try rolling the battery in the charger.
Please clean off both side of battery before inserting into the charger to ensure proper connections.
Please make sure you are using a Bigblue Battery. Using an off-brand battery can result in a malfunction light.
If you charger is not turning red once battery is inserted you can spin the battery around or remove the battery and insert it again.
Make sure that the batteries are making good connections by cleaning the threads on both the light head and the body. Check the connections to assure that there is no rust or corrosion on them.
Sometimes the spring on the inside of the body (not on the light head) gets compressed; you can try pulling that spring out of the light and stretching it to provide a stronger battery connection.
Try placing your light in a freshwater soak for 24 hours. This often frees up any salt or sediment which can build up under the switch.

Do you sell replacement parts to repair my kit? If not, where can I find them?
Bigblue sells replacement batteries and battery packs, as well as replacements for the accessories that come with our lights (e.g. handles, gloves, filters). For certain repairs, it is necessary for the light to be returned to us to evaluate and repair. Please contact us to establish a return authorization request.
My dive light will not turn on. How can I determine if it is a battery problem?
All Bigblue dive lights come with replaceable batteries and battery packs. Inspect batteries for corrosion or other damage. To replace the battery, unscrew the body and remove the old battery, insert the charged one ensuring it is seated in the proper position so that all connections are tight. Most Bigblue lights require that the battery compartment be screwed tightly onto the light head, assure that salt build-up within the threads is not impeding a tight connection.
Make sure your battery is charged. If you have access to an identical Bigblue battery, try that battery in the light. If your light still does not turn on, please contact us to establish a return authorization request.
